Angie Buxton-King

Since 1988 I have worked as a healer of adults, children and animals.

In 1995 my youngest son Sam was diagnosed with leukemia and passed away in 1998 aged 10. I have since felt very motivated to spread the knowledge that healing is a very beneficial tool when used alongside conventional medicine.

Over the past 7 years I have been employed by University College Hospital (UCH) as a healer working on the adult haematology unit. For the past three years I have held the post of manager/healer of the complementary therapy team within cancer services at UCH.

Over the years I have spoken at many medical and holistic conferences at home and abroad and in August 2004 my first book the “NHS Healer” was published by Virgin Books.

It has been a privilege to help so many people within the NHS setting and now with Sam’s Charity established, we can move towards our next goal of helping to provide many healers to work in cancer care within the NHS.

I qualified as a Reiki Master/Teacher in 1997 and in June 2003 joined the complementary therapy team at UCH working within cancer services.

Initially my work was with adult patients in haematology, I now work as part of a multi disciplinary team in paediatric oncology with children from 0-12 as well as teenagers from 13-19 with cancer.
