Angie Buxton-King is  the tutor for this course and her experience flows through every part of this unique training material.

Angie says. “In response to the ever increasing demand for our unique Healing in Hospitals and Hospices training  I have designed this distant training module for healers who cannot come in person to our unique training.

By creating this distant training module I can now personally teach and mentor students, wherever they are in the world, to build their skills as a healer and provide a clear pathway to a potential post within a statutory health system.

Coming along to a workshop and sharing the energy of likeminded people with a common goal is still something that we would recommend, but if this is not possible then our charity can now offer the opportunity for students to learn from the comfort of their own home.

I look forward to personally guiding you through your training as it is very important to me that each student who receives a certificate after successful completion of this course  has the skills to work in a safe and effective way, bringing professionalism and experience to their potential role in the integrated health setting”.

The distant training is certified by The Sam Buxton Sunflower Healing Trust whose work is well established in the UK and has funded 36 healers to work within the NHS or a hospice to date.

All profits from this course will support our charities continuing work of funding healers to work within Hospitals and Hospices”.

Reiki is increasingly used in health care alongside conventional treatments.

It is a Group 2 Complementary Therapy as stated in the House of Lords published report of 2000

Reiki is a gentle form of therapy that originates from Japan. Pronounced ray-key, Reiki means 'universal life energy'  in Japanese.

Healers have an understanding that we have a physical body that is surrounded by an energy field. When we become unwell physically, emotionally or mentally this has an unbalancing effect on our energy field.

The Reiki Therapist uses simple hands-on or non-touch techniques to channel healing to the patient. This allows their energy field to rebalance, which in turn may ease symptoms physically, mentally and emotionally.

The person receiving Reiki remains clothed and can be lying down or sitting in a chair. Most people who receive Reiki find the experience very relaxing, as it may reduce anxiety, improve energy levels, aid restful sleep and reduce some of the symptoms experienced during their cancer treatment.

Spiritual Healing AKA Energy Healing  is increasingly used in health care alongside conventional treatments.

It is a Group 2 Complementary Therapy as stated in the House of Lords published report of 2000.

Spiritual Healing AKA Energy Healing  has a specific definition involving the channelling of healing energy through the hands to the client which aims to restore the balance of body, mind, and spirit of the receiver.

It is a natural, non-invasive, holistic approach that has the intention of promoting self-healing, to bring a sense of well-being and peace to the client.

When we become unwell physically, emotionally or mentally this has an unbalancing effect on our energy field.

A healer channels energy through his or her hands (either laying hands on the body or held off the body) which allows the energy field to rebalance. This in turn may ease symptoms physically, mentally and emotionally.

Healing can either be carried out in the presence of the client or by way of ‘remote healing’, otherwise commonly called ‘distant or absent healing’.
